If you would have told me 2 years ago, I was going to quit my corporate job and become a photographer I would have laughed! I grew up when the world told us that if you worked hard in high school, went to college and got a corporate job then you would be successful, happy and living the "American Dream". I graduated from W.P. Carey School of Business and went straight into commercial real estate working for a REIT for 13 years. I thought the harder I worked and the more money we made, the happier we would all be, right?!  Wrong! I was successful, but never truly felt fulfilled or happy.  I couldn’t be there for my kids and family the way I wanted to be climbing the corporate ladder.  I didn't want to hustle, I didn't want to be a girlboss, I just wanted to live slowly and enjoy time with my boys.  Photography has always been a creative outlet and hobby of mine from a young age. I always wanted to preserve people and moments. Years ago, when I had my first son, my husband Jake purchased my first camera and some educational videos. Both of which sat in the closet for years while I continued to work and toy around taking pictures of the kids for special occasions and vacations.
